Lord, I’m praying for myself out of selfishness and out of longing to be freed from the past that has affected me in ways I never saw coming, but I know You will listen. And I know You see what I’m going through. You know that I had made a mistake, and hurt someone dear to me out of selfishness and hurt pride. I never got to make things right, and I’ve lived with the guilt since and probably always will. Lord, I pray for healing and forgiveness. For the strength to forgive myself. That, if it is Your will, You would ease the pain and present me with the chance to seek this dear friend’s forgiveness and mend this rift between us. It seems impossible to me, but through You anything is possible. But Lord, I want only what You know to be good and perfect; not the foolish desires of my human heart. Revive me. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
