Dear Lord, I pray over everyone who has been mentioned on this app that are going through a struggle and also for those who weren’t mentioned. I pray that You deliver them at Your perfect timing so they may grow closer to You. I pray for the families of the victims in Denver and New York, Lord. Give them peace and comfort. And watch over the injured, help the doctors to heal them swiftly. Father, we see these tragedies and the hardships of the people all over the world. We see it here, and I hope that it breaks the hearts of my brothers and sisters as much as it breaks mine, and surely Yours. Call us out, Lord, call us out to the mission fields surrounding us. We don’t need to travel across the world; it’s right outside our door. Reach out to the hurt and the lost, my friends, as Jesus did and would do. Help those that are struggling. It could be as simple as helping someone pick up their dropped books at school or sitting with someone at lunch who usually sits alone. Almighty God, You have given us a heart of compassion, help us use it. A simple act of kindness could make the difference between life and death for thousands. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
