Father, we hear so much about the desire to go back. The desire to make things perfectly right here on the earth. We hear suggestions about how to fix what is wrong. There is nothing wrong with any of those things but this is earth. This is the place where we have trials, troubles, challenges, and tribulations. This is the testing place before the final destination. Earth is the pilgrimage. Heaven and hell are eternal destinations. Jesus help us as Your church to set our affection on things above. Help us overcome our carnal mentalities. Our Father’s desire is that no one perishes. Make that our desire. Blessed are they that hunger and thirsts for righteousness for they shall be filled. Seek FIRST the kingdom of God and His righteousness, then everything else will be added. Lord, teach us what it means to really pray and be labourers with Christ telling the good news of a new heaven and a new earth. Jesus is coming and He is going to make all things new. He’s going to make wrong things right. Vengeance belongs to the Lord only. He’s the ONLY ONE worthy of giving it. We are not. We stand in the mercy, love, grace and forgiveness of our Father and if we do not forgive, we will not be forgiven. The word of God is a two-edged sword. As we are reading Him, Jesus is reading us. Give us ears to hear what You have to say to the church. Our hearts cry even so, come, Lord Jesus.
