Strength For Perilous Times

Lord, in Jesus name, I pray for strength for Your people. Lord, while You were here on earth, You spent much time in prayer. Prayer is key to making it. You spent time teaching the disciples Your word. In order to know You intimately, we need to spend time reading Your word. Father, help us I pray to realize what times we are in. You empowered Daniel to be thrown in the den of lions. You gave the three Hebrew boys courage to be tossed into the fiery furnace. Stephen was stoned to death and You opened the heavens and Stephen fell asleep in You. Enoch didn’t see death. Lord, You took Elijah. Father, we as Your people need to really know You. We need to really be spending time with You. We really need to be allowing You to pour into us for real. Help us Jesus to lay aside every weight and sin that doth so easily beset us Lord. “But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death” (Revelation 21:8 KJV).
