Father I cannot change how I feel without controlling how I react. It’s never been what I want, my want is far less than your plan. All I need is you as LORD over me. Help me to continue to see the Joy in what I have, and remember the blessings of your kept promises. I feel inadequate in this very moment. I’m praying to you to lift these selfish wants again, keep them from resurfacing, as they tear at my heart. This prayer is in preparation for things to come. As a relationship is built I ask that this one not be broken. Guide me to remain pure and kind, protect me from jealousy and selfish anger. I do not want to jeopardize the friendship I have, or the responsibility I have been given and have accepted. You are gloriously in all you do, gracious in your giving, your plan is perfect, and I submit to your will. In your Son Jesus’s name I pray, Amen.
