Praises For My Dad

I just posted a prayer for my dad being a wounded boy on this app. After fighting, wrestling, crying and praying this week, the Lord answered a huge prayer for me for my dad. At Thanksgiving, we got to see how angry and bitter my dad was because he never knew his biological father. His mother didn’t tell him much for whatever reason. Yesterday, after receiving news that a twenty something year old cousin of mine passed, my dad came over to share that He met his biological family at church. God heard and answered my prayer for my dad.
My dad came over and seemed disappointed that his mother did not share with him when he wanted to know. I told my dad to forgive his mom because he has no idea the pain his father could have caused for his mother. I told him perhaps his mother, our grandmother Annie, could have been protecting him from something she knew and he did not know.
Regardless, our time is not God’s timing. In Ecclesiates 3:11, the Lord promises to make all things beautiful in His time. We have to wait. Jesus knows what is best and in our pain, hurt and frustration, He is right there with us.
Praise God that although my dad doesn’t know his biological father, he is meeting family that is in church. God redeems, restores, breaks generational curses, and brings about generational blessings in His time. We simply have to trust Him.
