Father God, in this time of chaos help us to shine bright your light. I know we as Christians feel angry and distraught at the evil we see around us, but help us to not let that emotion transfer to people. Our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers and powers, the world forces of this darkness and spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. We must remember that our battle is not against people but against the evil one. You said they will know us by our love, so we must love those with whom we disagree. Lord, help us to be used through love, and not be deceived into thinking that angry speech and thought is OK. In your beautiful name, amen.
