Father God, I pray for our government leaders to come together and work peacefully for the good of our country. I pray they would ask to be guided by your wisdom and not by their pride. I pray for those who are working without pay in jobs in our government that are necessary for our safety. Provide for them. Help them to still do their work well, as if they are working for you. I pray for my nephew and others who are completing their training for homeland security jobs but are receiving no pay. Help them not to be bitter, but to trust in you. In your powerful name, amen.
