Father, I pray that pastors would love You above the congregation. I pray that they would walk in holiness. I pray that the congregation would walk in holiness. The verse in the Bible tells us that the FATHER LOVES THE SON. “The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things into his hand” (John 3:35). If God the Father loves His Son Jesus, and He does, how much more ought we to love Jesus? God, I pray pastors would love being right with God above the approval of their congregations. I think of Saul who disobeyed God for the approval of people. I am also reminded of the Prophet Eli who refused to deal with his wayward sons and God allowed the sons to die. The news caused the Prophet Eli to fall over dead. I pray that churches would bring back discipline so that the younger generation will have the fear of the Lord. Doing things our own way leads to nothing good. Raise up a people who really love You Jesus and have Your heart. You are looking for a people with Your heart, Your desires, Your ways. Help me to be those people. Create in me a clean heart Lord and renew a right spirit within me. Help me to walk away from people and churches that don’t really love or honor You and Your word. Help me to love You Jesus with all of my heart, my soul, my mind and my strength. On my own, I cannot but I can do ALL THINGS THROUGH CHRIST which strengthens me. Strengthen me I pray Father in Jesus name.
