“Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them. For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple” (Romans 16:17-18 KJV). Lord, help us to know the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. Help us to desire meat in Your word. Help us to grow past being babes in Christ and help us to allow Your word to cut the things that are not like or reflective of You. Help us to not be comfortable or be deceived that You came for our happiness, but You called us to be holy. Be ye holy for You are holy is what Your word says. It is a daily dying to ourselves, our wants, our desires, and surrendering all. It’s easier said than done, but the Bible says I can do all things through Christ that strengtheneth me. Help us Jesus.
