Father, please tear down oppression within Your Church, the Bride. Help us to be light in the darkness. Show us how to love each other, our neighbors and our enemies. While on the cross, You said “Father, forgive them. They know not what they do.” Their eyes were closed. They were ignorant of the fact that they were crucifying the Son of God and yet You prayed for them instead of Yourself. You fully surrendered to the will of Your Father for our sakes. You gave Your life to give us life. Help us to live like Jesus. Help us walk like Jesus. Help us to talk like Jesus. Help us forgive like Jesus. And help us to love like Jesus. Love is the evidence that we are born of God. You said we cannot love God whom we have not seen while hating the person we can see. Love is greater than faith and hope (1 Corinthians 13:13). Thank You Jesus for loving us while we were yet sinners so that we can love others while they are yet sinners. Forgive me when I fail in this Jesus. Apart from You, I cannot love.
