For My Dad

For so long he’s known the Christian lingo, but now that our mom has died, we are seeing our dad for who he is. I don’t know if he’s always been this person and our mom just covered for him, but covering up something does not bring healing and deliverance. We need to allow Your light to expose every dark area of our hearts. We need to not be afraid to bring things to the light. So Father, I pray for my dad who lies and stirs up strife. He’s full of hatred and racism. I pray for his insecurities since his dad was never in his life and didn’t want anything to do with him. I pray for the anger he had toward his mother because she protected him which left him bitter and angry. I pray he would forgive both of his parents that have both died. Help him to know when father and mother forsake us, then the Lord will take us up. There is no better place to be. You are so capable of healing us, restoring us, redeeming the time and making everything beautiful in Your time because the things that man cannot do, Jesus can! Jesus can do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think according to His power at work within us in Jesus name. I pray for my dad’s salvation in Jesus name.
