Jesus, I lift up this child who wasn’t allowed to perform with band last night because he had the wrong color shirt. The right thing to do would have allowed him to sing because he’d worked hard. He may not have had the right size shirt but he showed up. We find reasons to exclude people and we try to justify it, but Jesus You exclude no one. You died for all. Help us to bless Amari and encourage him. Show us what to do to point this child to You and to show Amari the love of Christ. If nothing else, I pray that he sees Jesus in us and that in middle school he turns to You Lord. Thank You Father for eyes that see.
