I feel like things in our lives either draw us closer to God or push us further away. So many people entertain the lie that God is not good, if He allows bad things to happen. I think the opposite is true. When the challenging things happen, we get to see “many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivereth him out of them all.” We get to stand still and see the salvation of the Lord. We have to purpose within our hearts and entire being that “greater is He living in me than he that lives in the world. I thank God for His faithfulness through life’s storms. On Christ the solid Rock I stand, all other ground is sinking sand. Lord, help us to keep our eyes fixed on You trusting that we will be rewarded for our faithfulness to You in Jesus name. For what shall it profit a man if he gain the world and lose his soul? Or what is a man willing to give in exchange for his soul?
