From one widow to another, my heart knows your pain well. But the Lord says: “Father of orphans and protector of widows is God in his holy habitation. God gives the desolate a home to live in; he leads out the prisoners to prosperity, but the rebellious live in a parched land.”
Psalms 68:5-6 NRSV-CI
God is closest to the orphans and widows alike as they have no one else to care for them. He has us under his wings of protection. He gives us the strength to endure the hardships in life gracefully with the assistance of His Grace. I pray that all widows and orphans feel Gods’ love abundantly and seek him. Matthew 7:7 tells us: ““Ask, and it will be given you; search, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened for you. For everyone who asks receives, and everyone who searches finds, and for everyone who knocks, the door will be opened. Is there anyone among you who, if your child asks for bread, will give a stone? Or if the child asks for a fish, will give a snake? If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good things to those who ask him!”
Matthew 7:7-11 NRSV-CI
Our children will come back to us says the Lord in Isaiah 49:14-18:
“But Zion said, “The Lord has forsaken me, my Lord has forgotten me.” Can a woman forget her nursing child, or show no compassion for the child of her womb? Even these may forget, yet I will not forget you. See, I have inscribed you on the palms of my hands; your walls are continually before me. Your builders outdo your destroyers, and those who laid you waste go away from you. Lift up your eyes all around and see; they all gather, they come to you. As I live, says the Lord, you shall put all of them on like an ornament, and like a bride you shall bind them on.”
Isaiah 49:14-18 NRSV-CI
I pray in the mighty name of Jesus children remember to honor their mothers and fathers. Rejection is the worst feeling one can ever endure and I pray that no one has to suffer this especially knowing that my Father is a King and that I am His Princess and dearly loved. Amen
