Lord Jesus Christ, you told your disciples after your resurrection that you have all authority in heaven and on earth. Why did you tell us that? Because you want us to “go” to you before we do anything else! To listen to you! To hear your voice! To come under your authority. To get your plans! To ask you who to disciple! Why do we try to “go” without listening and asking you first? Forgive us for walking in front of you instead of beside or behind you. Holy Spirit, draw God’s people to the throne of grace each morning—like Jesus did while on earth— to get the plan for the day. We love you, Jesus, it’s why we keep coming to you first. Amen.
