If 7:14 Day of Prayer Prompts

7:14 a.m.  Restore us to flourish again!
Today we pray for revival, for a reawakening to You as Sovereign LORD. We pray that the Holy Spirit will move across this land drawing hearts and souls back to the Father. For the Spirit of the living God gives life!
~ Psalm 71

8:14 a.m.   Adore God!
God is most worthy of praise! Draw close and say, “Great is the LORD…Splendor and majesty are before him; strength and glory are in his sanctuary.”
~ Psalm 96

9:14 a.m.   Praise the Lord!
Celebrate the faithfulness of our God who forgives all our sins and heals all our diseases. He redeems our life and renews our strength crowning us with love.
~ Psalm 103

10:14 a.m.   Wait!
Be still in the presence of an awesome, holy God. Hope in him. Seek him. Listen. “It is good to wait quietly for the salvation of the LORD.”
~ Lamentations 3:25-26; Isaiah 30:15; Psalm 37:7

11:14 a.m.   Personal Confession
“Have mercy on me, O God…For I know my transgressions, and my sin is always before me. Against you, you only, have I sinned and done what is evil in your sight.”  I confess…
~ Psalm 51

12:14 p.m.   Confession on behalf of the Church
Jesus has called the church to be salt and light – agents of change in a corrupt and dark world, but we have turned to our own ways. We confess our lust of the world, our pride, and selfish ambition.  “For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does.”
~  Matthew 5; 2 Cor 10:3

1:14 p.m.   National Confession
O great and awesome God, our nation has rebelled and turned from your commands. Our haughty, lying,  and violent ways have not pleased you. We confess our nation has plotted against you, O Lord, and has opposed righteousness and justice. We confess…
~ Daniel 9

2:14 p.m.   Pray for unbelievers
Give us a heart for the lost and open our eyes to the ripe harvest field. We ask for open doors to spread the gospel and to proclaim the mystery of Christ. May the veiled eyes of unbelievers see the glorious light of the Good News as we reflect the love of Jesus.
~ Matthew 9:35-38; Colossians 4:3

3:14 p.m.   Petition for the Body of Christ
We intercede for the churches that have become like a dry and weary land where there is no water.  We are busy for you, but we do not feel refreshed by the work of our hands.  Awaken the church to a renewed focus on the fear of the Lord, so we once again behold your power and glory.
~ Psalm 63

4:14 p.m.   Petition for the Nation
May our government turn from injustice, trust alone in the name of the Lord our God, and seek righteousness.  God has established the authority of government, and we ask for its restoration to obedience of his moral standards. “By justice a king gives a country stability.”
~ Romans 13:1; Proverbs 29:4

5:14 p.m.   Petition for Families
Raise up godly families that will hear the Word and put it into practice, and like a wise man build their house upon the Rock!  May parents and children take the time to read Scripture together building relationship with the Lord and each other. So that, they can bear fruit in a world that is rocked by storms.
~ Matthew 7:24; Psalm 127

6:14 p.m.   Thanksgiving
Raise your voice in thanksgiving to God the Father, giver of all good gifts. In specific ways acknowledge his goodness to your family, community, church, and nation.  Live in such a way that your lives overflow with thanksgiving for all he has done.
~ Colossians 2:7; James 1:17

7:14 p.m.   To God Be the Glory
Praise be to our God who hears our call! Show us great and unsearchable things opening our eyes to your truth and your glory. Pour out your Spirit on every city, church, business, school, and government in this country bringing spiritual renewal to thoughts and attitudes.
~ Jeremiah 33:3
