Oh Lord, King of nations,
This nation has much for which to be grateful. Among these, the privilege of expressing our beliefs and voting for our leaders.
Yet we recognize that no person, party, or election outcome can fix the problems of our republic. To think they can is delusional and dangerous, for our disease and decay run far deeper and wider than most imagine.
Now, no less than ever, this country needs You. May our hubris be toppled by humility and may You grant the gift of true repentance—in our leaders, in the electorate, and most importantly, in Your people.
May every Nebuchadnezzar-like instinct, around us and, yes, within our own hearts, bow before You and acknowledge that “Heaven rules” (Daniel 4:27).
May You may bring mercy rather than judgment to our land, that our citizenry may flourish and that You may be exalted, worshiped, and served, as You deserve.
Amen.
Asking prayer, a revival for my adult daughters. One was just hospitalized as she said she wanted to commit suicide. She is in the Armed Forces and her life has been away from God ever since she was a teenager. My other daughter who is about to turn 21 is living a life that is taking her into seedy places. The place she works as a server in a club and she is around drugs and sex all the time. She is propositioned all the time. She has a live in boyfriend but he works at the same club as a bartender, thankfully he’s trying to get out of that job. He protects her and I’m thankful. However, prayers for all my adult children for a revival to happen in their lives and moves them out of the depression, anxiety filled, anger state they have been in for too long.
I pray for J’s husband. That he would read his Bible and realize it is truth. The Holy Spirit would speak to his heart and mind. He would know your love for him.
My husband is depressed bad. He wants to be alone all the time. Doesn’t want to be married 😔 hasn’t and won’t read his Bible. Please pray 😭
Election Day is an important day for our country. As we come to these historic crossroads for our nation, let the Church pray that the Lordwill appoint individuals into office who serve and lead in humility and righteousness. May He awaken the body of Christ to go out and vote Biblical principles as we integrate these truths into our everyday thoughts, decisions and actions.
God our loving Father, grant wisdom to those who govern us, compassion and courage to those who work to defend human life, and safety and care to every human being. For you alone who formed us in our mothers’ wombs, and who call us home to heaven, are God, for ever and ever. Amen.
Father God, I ask that you would protect those in the path of yet another hurricane. I ask that it would lessen in strength before it hits the shores of Florida. Give Governor DeSantis wisdom. Please draw people to you during this scary time, and let them know that you are the rock that they can rely on. In the powerful name of Jesus, amen.
Father, thank you for your enduring Love! Thank you for your kindness, grace and mercy. Thank you for your great splendor, majesty, and holiness! Our eyes are on You! You are our hope, our help, our shield, and our righteousness and peace! You satisfy us each day in the wonder of who you are, and in you our Joy is made complete! Fill us each day to overflowing with your Holy Spirit. Fill us to bring your fruit of blessing to our neighbor and to be a light in this world who needs to see and know Jesus! Jesus is the way, the truth and the life. And in Him we have all that we need. I ask that God’s people are united in one heart and mind as Christ’s body, so that we can move as one to bring your kingdom on earth as it is in heaven. Let us run with endurance the race set before us, focusing on Jesus, the initiator and perfector of our faith! To God be all the Glory! Hallelujah! Amen.
Lord Jesus, the thief cometh not but for to steal, and to kill and to destroy. You are so clear about this in scripture. Satan doesn’t fight for and for him, it is by any means necessary. I pray for my neighbor to have a change of heart. The lifestyle is so dangerous. He and his girlfriend have young and older children that are put in harm’s way. God, I pray for angels to protect these children who are innocent in all of this. My heart breaks for them. Help this young man and young lady to see the error of their ways Lord. Fast money is not the right way especially when it’s ruining and destroying individuals, families and communities. God, please intervene. Please help them to see a better way. Please open their eyes and hearts to You, the Savior of the world. God, I’m asking in humility, not in judgment. My heart is so grieved to see what is happening so I’m coming to the only ONE that can help. Only Jesus can and Lord if it weren’t for You, I would still be lost. Thank You for leaving the 99 for the 1. Thank You for Your patience and kindness that leads to repentance. Please help all of us to sense Your nearness in our lives right now. Please pour out Your love, grace and mercy in Jesus name.
Lord Jesus, I am in the process of transitioning in my life. I don’t want to be afraid and I feel so much anxiety right now. I’m sorry. I ask for Your help through this move. I thank You for how You have always kept a roof over my head Lord. I thank You for how You have always protected me and our children through every move we’ve had to make. This time it’s just me moving and I confess Lord that it is a little unsettling. I don’t want my faith to be shaken. I’m sorry that I’m not responding in great faith. Lord, I’m asking that You go ahead of me. Please prepare and be my way. Please be my Rock, my firm foundation. Lord please close all the wrong doors and open the right ones. Please lead me because You say the steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD. I need You to be my Father, my Protector, my Provider, my Lord and Savior, my Shield. I need You Jesus to talk to me and keep me through this transition. Thank You Lord for being with me every step of the way in Jesus name. Help me to keep turning to You through this. I can’t do it alone in Jesus name.
