Teach Me Thy Ways

Exodus 33:13 “If you are pleased with me, teach me your ways so I may know you and continue to find favor with you.”

Psalm 103:7 “He made known his ways to Moses, his deeds to the people of Israel.”

Father God, today we come to You as Moses did, face to face. We come boldly to the throne of our gracious God, and we speak to You as one speaks to a friend. You know us by name. You have called us Your children and have engraved our names on the palm of Your hands. Oh, that You would bless us in the name of our Lord Jesus. We ask that You teach us Your ways so that we may know You and continue to find favor with You. Move us beyond only knowing about You and Your deeds, like the Israelites. Lead us on the path to truly knowing Your character and Your attributes. Give us divine revelation and full confidence in You, Lord.

We confess that we come to You for the miracles and signs wanting the quick fix that only satisfies for a while. We wander in the wilderness like the Israelites who saw Your works, but never understood Your character. Our unbelief keeps us in bondage to this world. We continue to walk in anxiety, doubt, fear, lack, oppressed by our enemies, but that is not Your plan for us. Turn our rebellious hearts back to You, the Living God.

We long for a more intimate relationship with You Father God. We desire to know the truths of God deep within our heart. Reveal to us Your righteousness, justice, compassion, grace, victory, and love, so that we can be restored and find favor in your sight. Lord, may Your Presence go with us and give us rest. Thank You for the blessed assurance we find in The Word, Jesus, who makes known to us the path of life and fills us with joy and eternal pleasures in Your presence forever at your right hand. In Jesus Name, Amen.
