If 7:14 Call to Prayer

7:14 am    Restoration

“Restore us, O God; make your face shine upon us, that we may be saved” (Psalm 80:3). Turn us to yourself, O God! We ask for spiritual wisdom and understanding this day to know You better and to see our sin more clearly, so that we can be restored to full fellowship with You.

8:14 am    Worship Our God!

Come let us bow down in worship for Great is the LORD and most worthy of praise; He is to be feared above all gods. Our LORD, the God of heaven, is awesome and faithful to His covenant of love. In our heart, we hold a deep reverence for the Lord and approach His throne this day, in Jesus name (Psalm 95:6, 1 Chronicle 16:25, Nehemiah 1:5).

9:14 am     Thanksgiving

“Open for me the gates where the righteous enter, and I will go in and thank the LORD” (Psalm 118:19). With praise, we open the gates of heaven and draw close. Praise Him for His mighty works of answered prayer, healing, and His gracious gifts on behalf of our nation and families. As we celebrate the goodness of the Lord together, our faith grows and believes for a mighty work of God again!

10:14 am    Prayer of Nehemiah

As servants of God, we are burdened in our hearts for the people of God and the brokenness of His church. We are surrounded by trouble and disgrace. The walls of protection have been broken down and the gates have been burned with fire (Nehemiah 1:3). We have not obeyed the Lord’s commands and have acted wickedly toward Him, so we weep, pray, and seek His face.

11:14 am    Confession on behalf of Self and the Church

Lord, the God of Heaven, let Your ear be attentive and Your eyes be open to hear the prayer of Your servant.  I confess the sins that Your people, including myself and my family, have committed against You (Nehemiah 1:6). I confess: neglect of prayer and Bible reading, worldly mindedness, a critical spirit, ingratitude, lack of love for God and neighbor, pride, envy, robbing God, hypocrisy, and __________.

12:14 pm    Word of God

“Break up your unplowed ground; for it is time to seek the LORD, until he comes and showers his righteousness on you” (Hosea 10:12). Lord, soften the hard and dry soil of our hearts until they are fit to hear and accept the Word of God and produce a crop of righteous fruit. We ask that You would turn our heart toward Your statutes and away from selfish gain.

1:14 pm    May Your Kingdom Come

Heavenly Father, awaken the church in its purpose to establish the kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ to the ends of the earth. We will return to a holy fear of God, integrity, unity on the absolutes of God, loving our neighbor, and faithful intercession, so that the rule of God permeates government and culture.

2:14 pm    Pray for Government

“For the LORD is our judge, the LORD is our lawgiver, the LORD is our king; it is He who will save us” (Isaiah 33:22). Father, thank you for establishing government to lead the people in righteousness and justice. We pray that the Word of God would teach and inform our government officials to create a righteous social order. Use Your church as prophets to serve as a moral compass and guide to our nation’s leaders.

3:14 pm    Our Hope is in God

The issues that our country faces – terrorism, abortion, failing economy, civil unrest, division and many others – seem to have no solutions. Our hope is in the Sovereign LORD to bring new life to impossible situations. We call out for dry bones to come alive and that the Holy Spirit would breathe the very breath of God into our land.

4:14 pm    A Call to Repentance from Joel

“’Even now,’ declares the LORD, ‘return to me with all your heart, with fasting and weeping and mourning.’ Rend your heart and not your garments. Return to the LORD your God, for he is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in love, and he relents from sending calamity. Who knows? He may turn and relent and leave behind a blessing”  (Joel 2:12-14a).

5:14 pm    Appeal to Heaven from 2 Chronicles 20

A vast army of political issues, educational compromise, declining morals, and false doctrines within the church is advancing against the people of God. As calamity comes upon us, we will stand in the Presence of the LORD crying out in our distress, praising Him, and worshiping Him. “Give thanks to the Lord for His love endures forever” (vs. 21).

6:14 pm   Assurance of Pardon

“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness” (1 John 1:9). Pray that the power of the Gospel will change our country and its people, and trust in His promise to extend mercy to those who confess and forsake their sin. Praise God that His hand is not too short to save (Isaiah 59:1).

7:14 pm    Victory In Jesus

“They triumphed over him (the accuser) by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death” (Revelation 12:11). Pray that Christians will boldly testify to the work of Christ on the cross and walk daily in the victory that they have in Jesus. With unwavering devotion to God, the Church will overcome.
